Was referred to Mike to take a look at some seat cushions, cover and Bimini top for my SeaRay. He suggested we contact our insurance as it was all damaged from the storm. It was approved and Mike was able to contract out our upholstery repair and cover and was able to order and replace our Bimini top. He handled every piece of the repair with consistent follow up to make sure we were aware of the timelines and any delays. He also took the time to make sure everything was running appropriately on our boat. Overall, everything was completed above expectations! I will definitely use Floyd’s Marine for all my future service and repair needs!

Other mechanics made excuses regarding working on my Mercury outboards. Mike was able to get in there, troubleshoot, and repair the issues we had in a very reasonable amount of time. Michael is great! He worked on my Tidewater and helped me fix a few different issues. Always on time, communicates clearly, and most importantly has fair pricing. I don’t have much experience with boats, and other mechanics I’ve dealt with consistently overcharged, left the job incomplete, or both. There is none of that with Floyd’s. They’re upfront about your options, what they recommend, and what you can expect to pay.

When hiring a Marine mechanic it goes without saying the expectation is they’re sufficiently knowledgeable about their craft and Michael fits that description. But he stands out where most others fail (1) commitment to his word particularly his schedule and (2) ability to effectively communicate what needs doing and what it will cost. I appreciate the work he has done for me and I intend to use him exclusively In the future.
