Mike is awesome. He came out to perform the annual service on my 250 Verado. After completing the work, he saw something that might have caused an issue down the road (not his fault). Mike is professional and detail oriented. His webite accurately describes his service. In summary: quality work, fair priced, clean, courteous, and communicates exceptionally.
Most mechanics should be able to perform recommended service and I dont't typically leave a review. But Mike's extra care earns a 5 star rating.
He performed 20 hr service on 2024 Yamaha F200. He was neat and clean, caring for boat, driveway, and yard as he performed work.
Beyond the normal service he advised I consider fuel filter replacement as he's seen potential for metal from gas tanks installation in new boats. Additionally, he answered some random questions regarding motor and trailer maintenance.
Regarding scheduling, he clearly booked me 11 days out. He sent me text confirmations as well as a detailed quote to agree on before starting work.
Above maintenance, Mike handles the unexptected with class. So when Mike replaced his phone and lost my details a day before our appointment, he called to review appointment details ensuring his efficiency on-site.
If you've had any contractors in St. Pete lately, you'll be pleasantly surprised with Floyd's marine.

I was referred to Mike by one of my neighbors. I called him to schedule the 100-hour service on my Suzuki outboard motor. Scheduled appointment for the following week. He asked that I send him some photos of the motor and the fuel filter so he could order the correct parts for the job. He showed up as scheduled and got the job done. He explained everything he was doing and was very systematic and meticulous throughout the process. He also helped me download some new software into my Lowrance unit that I was having some trouble with. Mike is a great guy with a great personality and sense of humor. I will definitely be using him for all of my marine mechanical needs going forward.
